Each of two so-called launching nose or steel nose consists of braced steel plate girders with a total weight of 186 tons and a length of 36 m each. They have been used for horizontally sliding the main structure of the concrete Rossevann bridge from bridgehead to the next supports.
The Rossevann Bridge is along E39 motorway on the section between „Kristiansand Vest Mandal Øst”. It consists of 2 carriageways with two lanes each
